Soyena DHAKAL Student of City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong I am only a few months into my exchange at The University of Adelaide, and I already know I am going to miss this when it is over. As an exchange student in a country that had ever been visited, I started doing things I never really did before, such as cooking, travelling, or watching the sunset. The Adelaide Fringe was one of my favourite experiences and reminded me of the AIA Carnival in Hong Kong. Filled with shows, rides, and authentic food from all over the world, the Fringe reflected the true Aussie spirit. Meeting new people from different parts of the world is also one of the best parts, and I got to know more about the various cultures and styles. Through it all, I realised that it is important to step out of your comfort zone and do all the things that might challenge you, such as travelling, initiating relationships or even opening up. Studying abroad for six months is definitely the experience of a life-time, and I am thankful for this opportunity, and for everyone who supported me during the process.
