Student exchange in Hong Kong was one of the most fantastic, rewarding experiences I have ever had. 

Aside from the obvious attraction of exchange; studying in Hong Kong meant a break from generic university life, letting me continue my studies in a completely fresh, fun atmosphere.

Once I was in Hong Kong, it was very cheap to get elsewhere-something which I definitely took advantage of! I went off travelling through Macau, Taiwan, Philippines, China and Japan with friends I had met over in Hong Kong. These are friends whom I will have for life now; we all went through the same experience, learning about each other and different cultures along the way.

Studying overseas also taught me a more personal message- that distance means nothing. My friends from home were my boulders overseas; nothing was more wonderful than coming home and seeing everyone who I had missed so dearly!

In a nutshell: wonderful friends, new languages, travelling, a completely different university lifestyle, living within 300m of your friends, amazing skylines, FANTASTIC NIGHTLIFE, new experiences, the “travel bug” and much more!
