Anri NAKAMURA Kansai Gaidai University, Japan
Australia is a wonderful country with lots of beautiful natural scenery. I took lots of wonderful trips around Australia and the ones to Alice Spring and Uluru were the most memorable for me. Australia is so different from Japan or other Asian countries. I enjoyed my stay in Melbourne. I think it’s the best city in Australia in which to live. There are many parks, trees and open spaces, and people are very kind and friendly and easy to talk to. When I first attended classes at the university with local and international students, I found it hard to catch up; but I tried very hard and things got a lot easier after a while. This is one of the things I am most proud of. After I came back to Japan, I realized how much my exchange experience had changed me. I think I’m very lucky to have gotten the chance to go and stay in Australia, to meet great people, and to experience a lot of new things. I had a very special and memorable year and I enjoyed my stay in Australia so much. I will never forget all the wonderful things that had happened, and everything now would not have been as good if I hadn’t been to Australia. I would like to thank my family, both my home and host universities, and also the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong scholarship programme. At Easter, I went to Cairns to enjoy my holiday. During this trip, I went snorkeling and had an adventure in the Daintree Rainforest. I believe this exchange programme will be an unforgettable memory in my life. I hope I can share all my experiences with everybody. Lastly, I sincerely express my appreciation for the Australia Cheung Kong Scholarship Programme in supporting me on this trip.
