The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Exchange to Monash University, Australia
My exchange to Monash University, Melbourne was just wonderful. Added on it, the generous Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Scholarship Programme enabled me to go far and boldly. There I experienced fruitful and challenging study. I gradually overcame the language barrier, from being too nervous to say a complete sentence to enjoying chats with people of different cultures. I tried Aussie barbies, home-style cuisines i n Melbourne's “little Italy”, Lygon Street, and of course, DIY with fresh food from big markets. Traveling was really great fun. With the grace of God, I was granted this scholarship and it was thus feasible financially to try more in Melbourne and its surroundings. I enjoyed gorgeous coastlines on the Great Ocean Road and the Gold Coast, with golden sands, blue waters and fresh breezes. At an open-range zoo in Adelaide, I fed hungry kangaroos, traced emus and was threatened by pelicans. Also, the spectacular architecture like the Opera House in Sydney and the Parliament in Canberra were not to be missed. In the last week of my journey, I stayed on a local farm in rural Victoria, enjoyed warm hospitality from an Aussie family and tried to milk cows and ride horses! All these are unforgettable memories that will be with me for the rest of my life. I again thank all the scholarship providers for granting me such a big-hearted support.
