Kwan Yi Chu, Connie The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong I am Connie Chu, a PhD student from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am so glad to have been given the opportunity for exchange to Australia awarded by the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Scholarship Programme. During the exchange, I worked in the Endocrine cell biology group led by Professor C Chen of the Prince Henry’s Institute. I worked with people from all over the world and I had a great time with them! We learnt different languages and cooking from each other, and of course I learnt some important techniques for scientific research from them! Melbourne is such a beautiful and exciting city. I have so many unforgettable experiences from there. I also experienced my first Chinese New Year overseas – there were so many people in Chinatown joining in the dragon dances and the shows. In fact, there were plenty of festivals in Melbourne, which provided a lot of outdoor performances that I have never seen before. I had so much fun!
