Anton Tsorvas The University of Adelaide, Australia
The second semester has started well and I am currently undertaking six subjects, ranging from developmental economics to international trade. The semesters are 18 weeks long, so slightly different from the conventional 12 weeks semester we are used to in Adelaide. However, I feel you get a greater understanding of the material you are trying to learn. So far, living in Thailand has been wonderful and I’m enjoying every second of it. The university is amazing for economics and I have learnt a huge amount in the last 6 months not only academically, but from the culture aspect. Bangkok is a great city to live in, with so many things to see and do and the food is delicious. The Thai people are amazing and I have made some great friends at university and other events that I have attended. I have a nice apartment located close to university which is handy too. It is even more exciting to be here at the moment as the PM has resigned and called for snap elections next month, so it will be very interesting to see what happens. My mum came over for Christmas, so I was busy showing her around Bangkok which was a lot of fun. She had a great time and loved Asia.
